Students interested in learning about television production can sign up for the Norwood Public Access Beginner Youth Video Club Part 1, starting Aug. 22.
The club is for Norwood residents in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades who have not yet participated in the Youth Video Club or the Lights, Camera, Summer 2012 club.
Meghan Corbett, who heads the group, said this is NPA-TV's third year doing the beginner club and that she and staff expect the program to continue growing.
"Three years ago we started as one class, and it's just been growing," she said. "We cannot even offer enough."
In addition to the beginner club where students learn the basics such as equipment use, the program offers two other intermediate and advanced classes.
Advanced registration will not be allowed, and the class size is limited to 15 students.
However, Corbett said she most likely won't have a problem filling the class with eager learners.
"It's grown into a very popular program that all the kids are talking about," she said. "The kids all realize that because of that, they should take it seriously and everyone who signs up wants to be here."
Registration will begin Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. and will close Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. or until the class is filled.
