After remaining closed for summer vacation, the walking track at Norwood High School is open again for use by Norwood adults.

Anyone interested in using the track must complete a CORI Request Form and will be issued a photo identification key card for access to the gym. Key cards must be worn at all times, as athletes and students may be in the gym during track hours.

The track, which first opened to the public in February, is open on weekdays from 5 to 9 p.m. for residents with proper identification. It is located on the second floor of the school and is 660 feet long.

Access to other parts of the building will be prohibited as will baby carriages, children, and running.

Applications are available on the Norwood Public Schools website and should be turned in with a $5 processing fee to the school office or the superintendent's office at 275 Prospect St.

More information about the track or application process is available by calling the office at 781-352-3522.
