Norwood Public Access Television announced that starting Oct. 1, the organization will launch a full-time government-access channel that broadcasts meetings and other government-related happenings.

Content will be broadcast on Norwood Light Broadband Channel 24, Comcast Channel 22, and Verizon Channel 33.

According to a news release, NPA-TV is expanding its coverage of town government and the increase in coverage created a need to consolidate the various broadcasts onto one channel.

“NPA-TV is proud of its current government coverage," a statement said. "It is our hope that this channel provides insight and information so viewers can learn how decisions are made in the Town of Norwood."

Community announcements and non-government related information will continue to be shown on the educational and town channels.
