What's happening in Norwood this week

Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Norwood this week.

Meetings: The Planning Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 566 Washington St. The Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Farmers Market: The market will run from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Common on Nahatan Street.

Computer Class: The Morrill Memorial Library, 33 Walpole St., will hold a computer basics class for any interested Norwood residents on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Girl Scouts: Signups for interested Girl Scouts will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Norwood Civic Center, 165 Nahatan St. The cost per participant is $12.

Travel with the Chamber: The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a “Travel to Tuscany” presentation Wednesday at 6 p.m. at 190 Vanderbilt Ave. The presentation is free and will serve as a preview of the organization’s April 2013 trip to Italy.

Recycling Day: Norwood’s annual Recycling Day will be Saturday starting at 8 a.m. at the Winter Street Composting Site on the corner of Winter Street and Spruce Road.
