The Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood has several events planned for the rest of this month. Here’s a quick look at a womens’ workshop, the screening of a film about plastics, and an author meet-and-greet.

Register for all October events in advance by calling the reference desk at 781-769-0200, extensions 110 or 222.

Workshops for Women: The third and final session of the library’s workshops for women series will take place tonight at 6:30 and is titled “Make Time for Yourself.” Life Skills facilitator Deb Titus will discuss how participants can identify activities they enjoy and acknowledge the importance of incorporating personal time into their schedules.

Addicted to Plastic: Together Yes, a Norwood-based nonprofit working to promote sustainability, will hold a free screening of the film, “Addicted to Plastic” on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. A brief discussion will follow the film. For more information about Together Yes visit www.togetheryes.org.

Author Meet-and-Greet: Boston Globe Movie Critic Ty Burr will discuss his new book, “Gods Like Us: On Movie Stardom and Modern Fame,” Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Copies of the books will be available after the program, cash and checks will be accepted.
