What's happening in Norwood this week

Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Norwood this week.

Meetings: The Board of Health will meet Monday at 9 a.m. at Town Hall, 566 Washington St. The Cultural Council will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., the Housing Committee will meet at 4 p.m. that day, and the Board of Selectmen will meet at 7 p.m.

Performing Arts Fund-raiser: The Norwood High theater department will transform the Savage Center, 275 Prospect St., into a fantasy land for a Halloween themed fund-raiser starting tonight at 6. Tickets are $5 and students will perform scenes from various fairy tales. Costumes are encouraged.

Electronics Recycling: St. Catherine’s, 249 Nahatan St., will hold an electronics recycling drive Saturday,starting at 7 a.m.

Craft Fair: The annual Norwood Craft Affair event will be held Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at the Coakley Middle School, 1315 Washington St. Tickets are $2 per person.

Long-term care workshop: Norwood Bank will host a workshop about long term care options Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Olde Colonial Cafe, 171 Nahatan St. Attendees will learn about financial planning, options for long-term care insurance, and estate planning. Farmers Market: Tuesday is the second to last day of the farmers market this year. Music will be provided by Junko Ogawa, and the market runs from noon to 6 p.m. on the Nahatan Street Town Common.
