Norwood voters favored Obama, Brown in election

Norwood voters backed President Obama’s re-election by a healthy margin Tuesday, but favored Republican Scott Brown over Democrat Elizabeth Warren for the US Senate race.

According to preliminary results, Obama won in Norwood by a margin of 8,098 to 6,292 over Republican Mitt Romney. Voters backed Brown by a vote of 7,804 to 6,794.

The Town Clerk’s office reported that 81 percent of the 18,061 registered voters in Norwood cast votes Tuesday, for a total of 14,699 cards cast.
