Norwood voters heading to the polls

Voters in Norwood's nine precincts are heading to six polling places today, to select among candidates for president, U.S. senate, congress, and state legislature.

The polls are open until 8 p.m., and you can check out a sample ballot beforehand right here.

The following races are contested:

State Representatives: John Rogers is running against James Stanton.

US Congress: Stephen Lynch is running against Joe Selvaggi for representation of the eighth district.

US Senate: Scott Brown and challenger Elizabeth Warren are vying for one seat.

President: President Obama faces former Gov. Mitt Romney, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, and Green-Rainbow party candidate Jill Stein.

Residents will need to vote at one of the following Norwood polling locations and specific precinct information is available on the town's election website.

Precinct 1: Oldham School, 165 Prospect St.
Precinct 2: Oldham School, 165 Prospect St.
Precinct 3: Civic Center, 165 Nahatan St.
Precinct 4: Cleveland School, 33 George F. Willett Parkway
Precinct 5: Civic Center, 165 Nahatan St.
Precinct 6: Balch School, 1168 Washington St.
Precinct 7: Balch School, 1168 Washington St.
Precinct 8: Callahan School, 90 Garfield Ave.
Precinct 9: Prescott School, 66 Richland Road
