Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Norwood this week.

Meetings: The Planning Board will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 566 Washington St. The Housing Authority will meet Tuesday at 3 p.m. at 40 William Shyne Circle. The Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Blood Pressure Clinic: The town will hold a free blood pressure clinic Monday at 6 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 at Town Hall.

Computer Class: Norwood residents interested in learning computer basics can attend a workshop Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Morrill Memorial Library, 33 Walpole St.

Scrabble: Kids and Adults are invited to a Scrabble night at the Morrill Memorial Library. The adult games begin at 6:30 p.m. and the kids games begin at 7 p.m.

Self Publishing Workshop: Norwood resident and author Debbie Spingarn will discuss self-publishing at a workshop Thursday at 7 p.m. at the library. Spingarn recently published “Another Spin: Columns by a Newspaper writer” independently through Xlibris Press. Copies of her book will be available for purchase. To reserve a spot at the workshop call 781-769-0200, extension 11.
