What's happening in Norwood this week

Here’s a quick look at events and happenings in Norwood this week.

Meetings: The Cultural Council will meet tonight at 6:30 at Town Hall, 566 Washington St. The Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Then at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at Town Hall. The library trustees have a meeting scheduled for Tuesday as well at 7:30 p.m. at the Morrill Memorial Library, 33 Walpole St.

Blood Pressure Clinic: The town will hold a blood pressure clinic Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Town Hall.

Computer Class: The Morrill Memorial Library will hold a computer basics class on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Scrabble Night: The library will host a night of Scrabble for adults and children on Tuesday. The adult games begin at 6:30 p.m., and the games for children start at 7 p.m.

Trivia: Lewis’ Restaurant and Grille, 92 Central St., will hold a free trivia night Tuesday starting at 8 p.m.

Diabetes Support: Norwood Hospital will host a support group for area residents with diabetes. The group will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the hospital, 800 Washington St.

Fun Run: Charles River Running, 679 Washington St., will host a fun run event Thursday starting at 6 p.m. The event is being organized by the shoe and running gear company, Saucony, which will bring lightweight shoes for runners to test on the 3-mile route through Norwood. The event is free and open to runners and walkers of all abilities. Participants should meet at the running store.
