The following are excerpts from the Peabody police logs from Wednesday, Jan 5 to Thursday, Jan. 6. All suspects are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

  • A resident at the Brooksby Village retirement apartment and condominium complex reported jewelery missing from her home on Wednesday at about 1:57 p.m. Police documented a missing gold ring valued at $1,500, a bracelet valued at $200, and earrings valued at $50.
  • At about 2:19 p.m., a woman reported that someone stole the rear license plate from her car overnight when it was parked in her driveway. Police recorded the plate as stolen.
  • A 16-year-old girl was reported missing at about 4:20 p.m. Police recorded her as a missing person.
  • On Thursday at about 1:39 p.m., a man reported someone stole his debit card and withdrew money. Police documented the incident.
  • Police cited a student at Higgins Middle School for possession of marijuana at about 1:50 p.m.
