Two Peabody women were arrested Sunday after a real estate agent hosting an open house on Ralph Road allegedly observed the women take prescription drugs from one of the homeowner's drawers.

According to an item in the daily activity log for Sunday, police received a call shortly before 4 p.m. from the homeowner, who reported that her realtor allegedly saw the pair take prescription pills, later identified by police as Percocet, a common painkiller.

Police were able to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle in which the two left and paid a visit to the address of the registered owner on Warren Street. According to the log, no one was home at the time.

Less than an hour-and-a-half later, police pulled over the vehicle about two miles away in the area of Lynn Street and Tuckers Court and took the owner, Lisa B. Bergin, and a passenger, Christine M. Davis, of 15 Martinack Avenue, into custody.

Bergin faces charges of larceny under $250 and illegal possession of a Class B substance. She was also found to have an active warrant out of Salem District Court.

Martin faces the same two charges, and was also found to have three active warrants, two out of Quincy District Court, and one out of Lynn.
