Peabody firefighters Daniel Dean and Ronald Ciampa will be promoted by Mayor Ted Bettencourt during a ceremony at City Hall on Tuesday.

Dean, a Peabody resident and seven-year veteran of the department, will be sworn-in as a captain, and Ciampa, a four-year Tanner City firefighter, will become a lieutenant.

Dean joined the department in 2005, and has served the last two years as a lieutenant. He is currently assigned to Division 2, Engine 1.

Ciampa was first appointed to the Department in 2008, and is currently assigned to Division 2, Ladder 1.

The ceremony was originally scheduled for October 29, but was postponed due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Sandy.
