The Peabody City Council meets for its regular meeting tonight in the Wiggin Auditorium at City Hall at 7 p.m.

Among the topics on the council's agenda are the sidewalk condition at 62 Walnut Street, and a discussion with Robert Dunne of the Peabody Veterans Council on the Veteran's Day services and tributes planned for this Sunday. Recently, Mayor Ted Bettencourt announced his intention to create a new annual tradition with a Veteran's Day Breakfast for Peabody veterans.

The breakfast will precede the regular Veteran's Day ceremony, which will be in front of City Hall at 11 a.m., a program for which can be found here.

A general fund summary of Fiscal Year 2013 revenues and the status of city and school appropriations is also on tap for tonight.

The council will also appoint Karen Pratt Budrow, a Gloucester resident, as director of human resources for both the city and the public school system. The council voted at a recent meeting to have one person run human resources for the city and the schools by combining the previously separate positions in an effort to save money and create uniformity among the approach to city employees.

Budrow has previously worked in Gloucester, Methuen, Everett, and Chelsea.

A full agenda for tonight's meeting can be found here.
