Peabody police log, Nov. 14-15

The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Wednesday and Thursday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Wednesday, Nov. 14

2:44 p.m. Caller reports youths damaging front lawns while walking up King Street. Officer reports caller did not witness any damage today but thinks the youths have been damaging property in the past.

5:12 p.m. Police responded to a past neighbor dispute on Myles Road based on a parking issue.

6:04 p.m. Police took a report of a past hit-and-run in the parking lot of Evan's Flowers.

7:14 p.m. J.C. Penny at the Northshore Mall reports a shoplifter detained. Everything will be handled at the store level.

7:30 p.m. Report of a deer struck on Andover Street. The deer was struck by an unknown vehicle. Deer was euthanized and disposed of.

7:40 p.m. Michael C. Mahoney, 657 Lowell Street, was arrested on the basis of two warrants.

8:06 p.m. Dennis Elswick, of 43 Boston Street, was arrested and will be charged with driving with a suspended license, larceny over $250 and attaching plates. Anthony Walcott, of 15 Cherry Street, Swampscott, was arrested and will be charged with larceny over $250 and possession of mace without an FID card.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

7:36 a.m. Received a report of a dead seagull on Seneca Road. DPW notified to pick up the animal.

9:48 a.m. Steven M. Thompson, of 4 Oak Avenue, was arrested and will be charged with domestic assault and battery.

10:55 a.m. Francis Daniel Bennett, of 14 Collins Street, was arrested and will be charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threats to commit a crime, defacing property, and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

1:23 p.m. Police removed a needle from Goodale Street.
