Peabody police log, Nov. 26-27

The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Monday and Tuesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Monday, November 26

2:30 p.m. Officer took a report of a hit-and-run on Cross Street.

2:56 p.m. Party would like to speak to an officer regarding a possible larceny on Washington Street. Officer stated there was a suspect in mind, attempted to make contact, will follow up and document.

3:02 p.m. Police responded to a report of breaking-and-entering to a motor vehicle at the Northshore Mall.

3:35 p.m. Calling party reports finding a small, Shih Tzu type dog running in and out of traffic on Herrick Road.

4:39 p.m. Middleton police officer requesting assistance locating a stolen iPad from a housebreak in his town. Unable to locate vehicle in question.

5:45 p.m. Robert A. Bouffard, of 1222 Crane Brook Way, was arrested on the basis of a warrant and will also be charged with receiving stolen property over $250, larceny under $250.

6:36 p.m. Police responded to a report of a deer that was hit by a vehicle on Lowell Street and appears to be injured. The injured deer was euthanized and picked up by a local resident.

7:55 p.m. Elvis Pineda, of 35 Baldwin Avenue, Everett, was arrested and will be charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

Tuesday, November 27

12:17 a.m. Caller reports a smashed window to a vehicle on Washington Street near Paddy Kelley's. Suspect identified with a camera at bar. Officer reports suspect hailed cab at Buddha's Tavern. Called North Shore Taxi, they report he jumped out of the cab in the area of Washington Street. Salem PD notified with suspect information.

1:47 a.m. Police responded to a break-in to a motor vehicle at the Holiday Inn on Newbury Street.

4:52 a.m. Caller reports window smashed on a motor vehicle at Homewood Suites Hotel on Newbury Street.

10:31 a.m. Police responded to a report of a small car fire on Bartholomew Street. Owner had already put out the fire and he has his own truck coming for a vehicle.
