Each holiday season, employees of North Shore Bank gather gifts for families in residence at two local shelters operated by Citizens for Adequate Housing. The shelters serve parents and children from the North Shore and eastern Massachusetts. The Inn Between is an emergency shelter for homeless families, and the Inn Transition offers a nine-month recovery program for homeless families dealing with substance addictions.

Once again, this year, departments throughout North Shore Bank were given the names of a family that is in need of some help. Employees went out and bought gifts and necessities for these struggling families, trying to make their holiday a little brighter.

Dave LaFlamme, North Shore Bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer said, “We’re proud of our employees for taking the initiative to help those families in our community who are facing challenges in their everyday lives, especially during this time of the year. This is what being part of a community is all about," LaFlamme continued, “helping our neighbors in difficult times. What we receive in return is the satisfaction of knowing that we made a difference in someone’s life.”

Inn Transition Intensive Case Manager, Brenda Dailey said of North Shore Bank’s philanthropic nature and unwavering support, “We are very grateful to North Shore Bank for continuously supporting us year after year during the Christmas Season. Even though times are tough for everyone, the generosity, time, and hard work they do for our families is so commendable. I personally would like to thank all of the North Shore Bank employees for their commitment to our families at the Inn Transition and Inn Between Shelters.”

North Shore Bank, established in 1888, is a full-service community bank based in Peabody. The Bank has eight branches located in five North Shore communities including Beverly, Danvers, Middleton, Peabody, and Salem. The Bank also maintains an online banking presence at northshore-bank.com
