The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Saturday and Sunday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Saturday, Dec. 1
12:34 a.m. Police responded to a fight on Walnut Street. Multiple agitated groups dispersed, many indicated they would continue in their home towns. Lynn and Salem police notified.
12:53 a.m. A vehicle was reported vandalized at St. Vasilios Church on Paleologos Street.
9:06 a.m. Elvin Pojoy, of 96 Henry Avenue, Lynn, was arrested and will be charged with driving without a license.
10:46 a.m. Police responded to a report of a water break with the road damage on Endicott Street.
2:27 p.m. Police responded to a hit-and-run at Bill's Music Center on Main Street.
4:46 p.m. Police responded to a dispute between neighbors on School Street.
4:51 p.m. David MacVittie, of 81 Union Street, South Hamilton, will be summonsed to court and charged with driving an uninsured vehicle.
4:56 p.m. Reporting party states he observed a male party in camouflage jacket looking through peoples' front doors and mailboxes on Aborn Street. Officer checked the area, nothing showing.
6:02 p.m. Police responded to a report of drug activity in an apartment on Park Street. Officer spoke with the reporting party, who was unable to provide facts.
8:02 p.m. Taran M. Upchurch, of 944 Parker Street, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and will be charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, and two counts of receiving stolen property $250 or under.
10:02 p.m. Danielle M. Yocum, of 154 Winona Street, Peabody, was arrested and will be charged with OUI and a marked lanes violation.
Sunday, December 2
12:23 a.m. Police responded to a report of larceny at Mobile Estates on Newbury Street. Laptop and digital converter taken from the residence. Officer attempted to make contact with the suspect, no answer at the door.
12:49 a.m. Police responded to a report of burglary to a vehicle on Newbury Street.
8:52 a.m. Police responded to a hit-and-run at Wilson Square.
10:54 a.m. Brian J. Walsh, of 36 Shore Drive, was arrested on the basis of a warrant and will also be charged with shoplifting.
12:48 p.m. Party would like to report bottles thrown at his motor vehicle on John Road.
