Peabody police log, Dec. 10-11

The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Monday and Tuesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Monday, December 10

2:54 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight on Perkins Street involving about five youths. Officer spoke to some youths in the area, they did not see anyone fighting.

6:10 p.m. H & M at the Northshore Mall detained a shoplifter, will handle at store level.

6:24 p.m. Police responded to a hit-and-run on Lowell Street at Forest Street.

9:05 p.m. Report of a female attempting to steal three high-priced purses from Macy's at the Northshore Mall. Maria Parkinson, of 4 Monarch Lane, Claremont, NH, will be summonsed to court after police receive the paperwork from Macy's.

9:33 p.m. Detective reports parties in a vehicle behind the Elks Lodge on Oak Street may be in possession of a Class A substance. Detective confiscated a syringe loaded with what he believes to be Class A. Parties were sent on their way.

11:19 p.m. Report of a fight outside of Paddy Kelley's on Washington Street. Officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and parties were identified. After speaking with them, they were advised that they were not welcome at the bar and sent on their way.

Tuesday, December 11

1:20 a.m. Steven Lobo, of 9 No. Central Court, was arrested and will be charged with domestic assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, and malicious destruction of property under $250.

7:26 a.m. Christopher R. Kerwin, of 6 John Road, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.

10:31 a.m. Report of a stolen motor vehicle from Diamond Auto Body on Washington Street last night.

10:55 a.m. Police removed a syringe from in front of Subway on Summit Street.

11:46 a.m. Caller reports the trash men found a heavy bag that appears to be leaking blood. Officer stated the bag contains the remains of a deer.
