Peabody police log, Dec. 4-5

The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Tuesday and Wednesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Tuesday, December 4

2:09 p.m. Bailey V. Sheppard, of 56B Washington Street, Ipswich, was arrested and will be charged with shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise.

3:56 p.m. Report of a few items stolen from an apartment on Lake Street yesterday. Officer reports a $75 clamp was taken sometime yesterday.

4:08 p.m. Jeffrey Diaz, of 24 Magnolia Avenue, Lynn, will be summonsed to court and charged with shoplifting more than $100 by concealment.

4:34 p.m. Kevin M. Heenan, of 2 Tracey Street, was arrested and will be charged with illegal possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, and illegal possession of a Class B substance.

4:49 p.m. David M. Drago, of 248 High Street, Medford, was arrested and will be charged with domestic assault and battery.

7:15 p.m. Report of a large group of kids "jumping someone" in Pierpont Park. Female witness reports two males came in to McDonald's, one with a 2x4 and one with a large tree branch, and started beating on another kid. She followed the parties to the area of Dance with Dena where she lost them. The victim came into the station at 11:35 p.m. to speak with an officer. The officer has some possible suspects from the incident. The officer will follow up the incident to determine if any charges will be filed.

Wednesday, December 5

1:08 a.m. Peter Thomas Colburn, of 41 Longhall Drive, Berwick, ME, will be summonsed to court and charged with attempted murder, domestic assault and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

8:50 a.m. Caller reports items stolen from his truck on Tumelty Road.
