The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Saturday and Sunday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Saturday, December 8
12:20 a.m. Police responded to a hit-and-run at Woodbridge Assisted Living Community on Lynnfield Street.
8:10 a.m. A dump truck was reported stolen from Wood Trucking on Lakeland Park Drive sometime since November 30.
9:01 a.m. Steel was reported stolen from an address on Sabino Farm Road.
3:08 p.m. Police responded to the Northshore Mall on a report that a caller is witnessing a party breaking into a motor vehicle. Detective stated it was an ex-boyfriend, ex-girlfriend dispute. Parties sent on their way.
3:13 p.m. Police responded to the LEGO store at the Northshore Mall on a report of a $400 kit that was stolen.
3:15 p.m. Report of a neighbor having an issue with kids playing hockey in the street on Upham Street. Officer reports an ongoing neighbor dispute.
5:16 p.m. Report of a hit-and-run on Endicott Street.
5:37 p.m. Two adults shoplifting at J.C. Penny at the Northshore Mall. Office reports it will be handled at store level.
11:02 p.m. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Elks Lodge on Oak Street. Alex Leahy (driver), and Brittany E. Foote, both of 16 Morgan Avenue, Gloucester, were both arrested and will be charged with illegal possession of a Class A substance. Michael P. Gray, of 15B Tarrs Lane, Rockport, was arrested and will be charged with illegal possession of a Class A substance and illegal possession of a Class B substance.
Sunday, December 9
12:55 p.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting at J.C. Penny at the Northshore Mall. Karen Turner, of 11 Bartley Street, Wakefield, was arrested and will be charged with larceny under $250 and driving with a suspended license.
1:02 p.m. Report of a male party walking up the on-ramp at Exit 25A on Route 128 North.
1:06 p.m. Report of a sinkhole forming near one of the entrances to the North Shore Mall.
1:57 p.m. Report of a male party that stole a bottle of cologne from Sears at the Northshore Mall. Officer stated that it will be handled at the store level.
