Peabody Mayor Edward Bettencourt will join various city officials, students, faculty and staff members of the Higgins Middle School to help launch a 10-day clothing drive.

The “Higgins Cares Peabody Clothing Drive” will start on Monday, April 1 at 3 p.m. at the Higgins Middle School.

Drop-off boxes will be placed at various locations throughout the city during the clothing drive including schools, City Hall, and select Peabody businesses.

The drive, which lasts from April 1 to April 10, is a citywide initiative spearheaded by Higgins eighth graders Katie Wallace and Matt D’Amato. Both Wallace and D’Amato are Project 351 Ambassadors.

Project 351 is a program which unites diverse eighth grade service exemplars from every city and town in Massachusetts for an inspirational year of community service, leadership development, and enrichment.
