The following was submitted by the Room to Dream Foundation:

The Room to Dream Foundation, dedicated to creating healing environments for children and adolescents facing chronic and debilitating illnesses, is pleased to announce it will be hosting its 6th annual Golf Invitational at the Salem Country Club of Peabody, MA. Sponsored by Shawmut Design and Construction, this year’s event will be held on Monday, September 16. This is the foundation’s most successful fundraiser, having raised over $80,000 at last year’s event. Many will gather at one of Massachusetts top golf courses in support of the organization.

The Salem Country Club is renowned for its immaculate condition and remarkable design. Salem had hosted five national championships, and is consistently listed as one of Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Golf Courses”, making this course an extraordinary location for the event.

A pair of local celebrities will also be in attendance.  Dave Goucher, voice of the Boston Bruins, will be participating as the MC for the second year in a row while Jenny Johnson, the executive producer of NECN’s TVDiner, will participate as chairwoman. The event will include the golf tournament and a live auction featuring a variety of impressive items. Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for the occasion.

The Room to Dream Foundation, founded in 2006, focuses on transforming living spaces of chronically ill children and families living in low and moderate-income urban and suburban areas. Through a collaborative effort of professional artists, interior decorators, and other trade volunteers, the foundation works to create healing, colorful, and motivating environments, giving children and adolescents “room to dream” of a healthier future.
