Peabody police searching for potential suspect involved in multiple retail thefts

Peabody police are searching for an unidentified female potentially involved in a rash of shoplifting incidents in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The incidents occurred over the last six months in at least three jurisdictions in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, according to a statement from the Peabody Police Department.

The total value of merchandise taken during the thefts is more than $100,000.

The Peabody retailers affected are currently requesting to remain anonymous, according to police.

No other details were available from police.

Any are urging person that can provide information assisting with the identification of the female are requested to contact Peabody Police Detective Ralph Scopa at 978-538-6324. Information may also be sent utilizing Tip 411 through the Peabody Police website.
