Peabody to hold fourth concert in summer series

The City of Peabody continues its summer concert series with a performance by Britannica, a classic rock band from the North Shore.

Britannica will hit the stage at the Leather City Common, where all concerts are held, on Sunday August 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The local band's performance will mark the fourth out six concerts in the summer series.

According to an announcement from the office of Mayor Edward Bettencourt, Britannica has a repoirtoire of songs in the classic rock genre including hits from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Moody Blues, The Who, Badfinger and Pink Floyd.

Britannica has gathered a large following by performing at local events including Salem's Haunted Happenings Halloween celebration, and the Danvers Family Festival.

Guitar and vocals are performed by Ted Solovicos and Peter Tentido.
