North Shore Bank has partnered for the fourth year in a row to serve as signature event sponsor for Citizens for Adequate Housing’s (CAH) largest annual fundraiser; Raising the Roof, an auction and gala event held at Danversport Yacht Club on November 15th, 2013 and hosted by Randy Price from WCVB TV’s The Eyeopener. This year’s event will take place on November 15th and North Shore Bank’s financial commitment is instrumental in supporting the planning costs. “North Shore Bank understands the importance of affordable housing options in our community,” says Corey Jackson, Executive Director of CAH. “They step up to the plate year after year at auction time, but also when it comes time to embark on important projects to drive our mission forward. We are so incredibly grateful and really could not do what we do without North Shore Bank.”
The Raising the Roof gala will include live music from The Guy Ford Band, a live and silent auction, and excellent food and dancing throughout the evening. The event is attended by 300 of the North Shore’s most charitable patrons including several local business leaders and politicians. North Shore Bank is joined by generous platinum level sponsors Wells Fargo and Solimine Development Corporation as well as hundreds of other businesses and individuals from all over Massachusetts. “North Shore Bank is pleased to be involved in helping those who have become or are at risk of becoming homeless. We are pleased to see other area companies joining us in this fight to end the cycle”, commented David LaFlamme, President and CEO of North Shore Bank.
Founded in 1983, Citizens for Adequate Housing Inc., a 501c3, has been a leader in the fight to end homelessness serving families from the North Shore and eastern Massachusetts. Families facing an emergency need of housing have found a temporary home at the Inn Between shelter. Here families are supported as they work to end their homelessness. The Inn Transition shelter provides a sober-living transitional housing program supporting families as they continue to build on their sobriety, recovery and find permanent housing. Finally, Inn Homes serves as permanent housing for very low income families in the Peabody area.
North Shore Bank, established in 1888, is a full-service community bank based in Peabody. The Bank has eight banking offices located in five North Shore communities including Beverly, Danvers, Middleton, Peabody, and Salem. The Bank also maintains an online banking presence at northshore-bank.com. North Shore Bank is an Equal Housing Lender and a member of the FDIC and a member of the SIF.
