A Quincy woman said she scared off a burglar after discovering the man climbing into her Jackson Street home through a kitchen window.

According to police, the 31-year old woman was in her bedroom at 11 a.m. Wednesday when she heard a noise in the kitchen. When she went to investigate, she found the man climbing into the house through a window, where he had cut the screen.

The woman screamed and the man fled. Nothing was taken from the home, police said.

According to police, the man was 5’6” to 5’8”, wearing a white tank top. He was possibly Hispanic and 45-50 years old with a gray mustache and gray hair.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Quincy Police.
