Mayor Thomas Koch won reelection as Quincy's mayor Tuesday, defeating challenger Anne Mahoney 10,510 to 8,340.
Mayoral spokesman Christopher Walker said the mayor was thrilled by the results, which are "an indication of the work he's done in the last four years."
Although defeated in the polls, Mahoney she was not defeated in spirit. She will serve the remaining two years of her four-year School Committee term before deciding on a new direction, she said.
In the elections for city councilors-at-large, Joseph Finn, Brian McFarland, and Douglas Gutro were elected; however, this will be Gutro's first time as a councilor-at-large.
Ward 1 was won by incumbent Margaret Laforest, who went unchallenged. Ward 2 was claimed by Brad Croall, Ward 3 by incumbent Kevin Coughlin, Ward 4 by an unchallenged incumbent Brian Palmucci, Ward 5 by Kristen Hughes, and Ward 6 by incumbent Brian McNamee.
The School Committee races were won by incumbents David McCarthy, Paul Bergoli, and Kathryn Hubley.
