Quincy police investigate armed robbery attempt
Police are searching for two suspects in an apparent armed robbery attempt at the Hannaford’s on Hancock Street in Quincy.
Police responded to the scene last Saturday at 7 p.m. to a report of a man inside the store with a gun.
According to the loss prevention officer, a man knocked on the door and entered, saying “Get the (expletive) back.” With a semiautomatic handgun, he pushed the victim to the back of the room.
The victim said he then pushed back the gunman and ran past him and out of the building. The two men then allegedly ran out of the building and fled.
The suspects are described as being black, 5’9” and 5’11”, and in their 20s. The canines couldn’t find either suspect.
Nothing was taken and no one was harmed, police said.
