Quincy police arrested a man for breaking and entering after he was allegedly caught stealing from parked cars.

According to police, a neighbor called officers with the report of a male looking inside cars with a flashlight at 2:37 a.m. Friday morning. Officers arrived on scene and saw two men, who both took off running.

One man escaped and could not be located. The second ran into an enclosed parking garage off Quincy Shore Drive.

The man was eventually located near the entrance of the building, where officers ordered him to drop to the ground and drop what he was holding.

Police said they detained him and found two Phillips head screwdrivers on the ground, a knife, and a Holbrook Public Schools staff ID. Nearby, police also found a black bag, paperwork, and Holbrook Public Schools financial reports.

Police spoke with the owners of the broken-in cars, who confirmed that the missing items belonged to them.

Kenneth Wisneski, 27, from Milton, was placed under arrest and charged with two counts breaking and entering a motor vehicle, breaking and entering in the nighttime, and two counts larceny under $250.

He also had two warrants out for his arrest – one out of Quincy District Court, and the second out of Cambridge.

Police could not locate the second man.
