Quincy Scanner Tales: Weymouth man arrested on fourth OUI
A Weymouth man was arrested for his fourth drunk-driving offense Tuesday morning after allegedly speeding in Quincy, police said.
According to police, an officer was traveling north on Washington Street when he saw a minivan traveling at a high rate of speed in the opposite direction.
The officer turned around and stopped the driver near 780 Washington St., right before the Fore River Bridge.
The man had an odor of alcohol on him and had bloodshot eyes, police said. His speech was slurred and when he got out of the car, he was unsteady on his feet.
He gave police a name that later turned out to be false, and was taken to the station, police said. There he was fingerprinted and his true identity was discovered.
Darby Dolan, 35, from Weymouth was charged with operating under the influence, fourth offense. According to police, Dolan was previously convicted of OUIs in 1995, 2001, and 2002. His license was suspended at the time of this most recent arrest due to previous convictions.
