Police are looking for suspects involved in two purse-snatching incidents on Wednesday in separate parts of Quincy.

At 10:47 a.m., a woman was dropping her daughter off on Hancock Street when a white male in his early 30s came up behind the woman and grabbed the woman’s pocketbook, police said.

The victim described the man as having a neck tattoo and wearing a grey shirt and blue jacket.

Someone yelled when the suspect grabbed the woman’s purse and the man dropped the purse and ran off, police said.

On the same day, a 42-year-old woman reported at 11:30 a.m. that her purse was snatched.

The victim said she was walking home from the Wollaston T station and was on East Elm Avenue. She turned into Eastern Nazarene Park and suddenly felt her handbag being ripped from her arm.

Police said that the woman struggled and was able to hold on to her purse until the suspect punched her.

The suspect is described as a 20- to 30-year-old black male. Police were unable to locate the suspect and the victim refused medical treatment.

Officers are continuing to search for the suspects.
