A Weymouth man was arrested at 6:45 a.m. Thursday after allegedly threatening another man with a BB gun in a road rage incident.

Police said an officer was in a parking lot on Sea Street when the victim approached him, saying that he had been driving on Sea Street when a white car started following behind him and tailgating.

When the road became two lanes, the suspect allegedly pulled up beside the victim and gave him the middle finger. The suspect then grabbed what appeared to be a firearm, pointed the gun at the suspect and tipped the muzzle back as if imitating a shooting motion.

While the victim was talking to police, the victim saw the suspect and pointed him out to the officer, who pulled the suspect over.

According to the officer, the suspect said: “I know what this is about. It was only a BB gun.”

As a result, police placed him under custody. A search of the vehicle uncovered a black, Phantom BB Pistol.

Beau Gramz, 25, from Weymouth was charged with disorderly person and assault by means of a dangerous weapon: the BB gun.
