Quincy Scanner Tales: Pizza delivery man robbed by masked man
Quincy police are investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred on Elmwood Ave.
According to police, a pizza delivery driver from Super Chef Pizza, which is located on Newport Ave in Quincy, was delivering pizzas to 30 Elmwood Ave when he was robbed.
When police arrived, they spoke with the victim, who said that earlier on the phone, the man ordering the pizzas requested that the delivery man bring $100 with him, police said.
A short time later, the delivery man arrived on scene with the food and saw a white male sitting on the porch stairs of a nearby house.
The delivery man got out of his car and was walking in the area trying to find 30 Elmwood Ave when the man ran up to the delivery man with a three-inch blade, and demanded the man’s money.
The delivery man gave the suspect the cash and the suspect fled.
According to the victim, the man was 5’10 or 5’11. He had a bandana over his face but appeared to be 20-35 years old. He had short, blonde hair and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
Quincy detectives are still investigating the crime.
