Adams park's new movie, 'Enduring Legacy,' debuts in Quincy

"Enduring Legacy," the orientation film for the Adams National Historical Park, had its premeire last Friday at the Quincy High School auditorium.

adams1.JPGThe 25-minute movie will be shown at the park's vistiors center to provide an overview of the Adams family's legacy, park officials say.

Among the guests were Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch [shown above with the park's superintendent, Marianne Peak], Braintree Mayor Joseph Sullivan, and Benjamin Adams.

Adams3.JPGAfter the screening, the park's deputy superintendent, Caroline Keinath, presented framed copies of the film's poster to Peter Argentine, the film's director, and Samuel Goodyear [bottom], who has portrayed John Adams at the park for years and plays him in the new movie.

In the movie, local actors plays members of the Adams family, with voiceovers and narration provided by such actors as Tom Hanks, Laura Linney, and Paul Giamatti, reprising their roles in the HBO miniseries "John Adams."
