A bicyclist was taken to Boston Medical Center after he allegedly drove into a stopped car.

According to police, the bicyclist was riding in the middle of School Street between the two yellow lines. Cars on either end of the street stopped to let a car exit the Firestone Auto Care shop, when the bicyclist drove into one of the cars.

The man, whose name has not been released, was knocked unconscious by the collision. He was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment.

Accident reconstructionists were sent to the scene shortly thereafter.

Police do not anticipate any charges to be filed.
