Quincy 7-11 robbed this morning, police say

Quincy police are looking for a man allegedly involved in an armed robbery of a 7-11 early this morning.

According to police, a man entered the Hancock Street store at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday wearing a red and black bandana over his face and a black sweatshirt.

The victim described the suspect as a slender black man, police said.

Police said that the suspect demanded money, and pulled a gun out of his sweatshirt pouch and aimed it at the store clerk.

The clerk opened the drawer to the cash register and stepped back. Police said the suspect them removed all the money from the register while pointing the gun at the clerk.

According to police, the suspect told the victim to run to the back office. When the victim complied, the suspect ran out the front door with the small amount of cash.

Police searched the area with dogs, but were unable to find anything. Officers are looking into the surveillance tape from the store.
