A 17-year-old remains in critical condition this afternoon after being shot in Roxbury late last night, police said.

The teen, a Hispanic male, was shot in the area of Walnut Park and Wardman Road, according to Boston Police spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll. Officers responded to a radio call for shots fired there at about 11:30 p.m., she said.

The injured teen was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition this afternoon, police said.

No arrests have been made and a motive for the shooting is unknown, Driscoll said. Because his condition is critical, the Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating.

No further details were available Thursday afternoon, police said.
