Residents in Roxbury might have recently noticed a few film trucks driving around the neighborhood and parked at the old B-2 Police Station on Dudley Street.

Residents in Roxbury might have noticed a few film trucks driving around the neighborhood and parked at the old B-2 Police Station on Dudley Street.

That’s because a movie featuring Sandra Bullock is being shot in the neighborhood by Twentieth Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, according to the local blog Both Ends of Dudley.

Bullock, known for her roles in such blockbusters as "Miss Congeniality" and "A Time to Kill" will be joined by Melissa McCarthy of "Gilmore Girls" in a movie that has been named "The Heat," according to Indiewire an online entertainment news site.

The movie, according to Indiewire, follows the relationship between a Boston police officer and FBI agent and was written by Katie Dippold of the popular NBC show "Parks and Recreation."

Both Dippold and McCarthy also worked together on the blockbuster film "Bridesmaids," which Box Office Mojo reports grossed close to $170 million domestically.

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky who worked together on the NBC show "The Office," according to Indiewire, have since been tasked with rewriting the script.

Both Ends of Dudley, said the actors will be filming in Dudley Square and the boarding neighborhood till July 12.
