City Councilor Tito Jackson and Angela Menino, the wife of Boston's mayor, welcomed revelers to Saturday's tree lighting.

Roxbury had plenty of holiday spirit Saturday as the neighborhood celebrated the season and lit the community's Christmas tree.

With fun and games, plus plenty of hot cocoa, residents excitedly welcomed the season to Dudley Square and even got a visit from Santa as he made his way across the city on Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s Enchanted Trolley Tour.

After the tree was lit, local youth and their families made their way to the Dudley Branch of the Boston Public Library for games, refreshments, and a chance to sit down with Santa.
