One senior at Roxbury Community College was recently honored for her scientific work and health-related research.

Share-Leigh Arneaud-Bernard received the Ruth and William Silen MD Award at the event at the New England Science Symposium.

The honor highlights symposium participants who deliver excellent presentations relating to their research.

Arneaud-Bernard beat out a Yale University student and a University of Massachusetts Lowell student for the award for a project that studied the reclassification of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Currently on course to graduate from RCC in May, Arneaud-Bernard has been applying to a number of programs as she pursues a MD PHD in pathology & biomedical research.

The straight-A student attributes her success to her family and the faculty at RCC, a release from the school said.
