STC to hold follow-up auditions for 'Wit'

The following is a press release from Salem Theatre Company:

Salem Theatre Company will hold auditions for Margaret Edson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Wit on Tuesday, October. 12 from 7-9 p.m. at the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette Street in Salem, MA.  Those interested are requested to prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue and will also be asked to read from the script.
 
Roles to be cast include Vivian Bearing, PH.D, a college professor, age 50, thin; undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer. A challenging role for a courageous actress - one of the choicest. (The actress who plays this role will be required to shave her head and appear nude briefly in a shadowed silhouette.)   Jason Posner, M.D., Clinical fellow of Oncology, age 22-30, ambitious, intelligent and cocky.  Susie Monahan, R.N., Primary Oncology nurse, age 22-30, caring and attentive.   E.M. Ashford, D.PHIL, Professor Emerita, age 70-80, direct and compassionate.
 
Rehearsals begin the week of November 14.  Performances run January 19 through February 13. Call Sarah at 978-304-9414 with any questions.
