Salem Theatre Company aims to make this Halloween “magical” with Evan Northrup

Magic takes the stage at Salem Theatre Company during Salem's 2011 Haunted Happenings with 18 performances by magician Evan Northrup.

Tricks and Treats, a 40-minute show for all ages, will feature sleight of hand, escapism, levitation, and other magical surprises. It runs October 20 through October 29, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with performances at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette St., Salem.

Evan Northrup, a Salem native and graduate of Brown University, has been performing magic since he was a boy and continues to study with some of the world's foremost teaching magicians. He recently traveled to Las Vegas - one of the magic Mecca's of the world - to study with Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger and has studied magic in Spain with renowned magician Juan Tamariz. He has also performed in Spain, France and the United Kingdom.

Tickets for all performances are $10 and are available online at www.salemtheatre.com or can be reserved for pick up prior to each performance by calling 978-790-8546, or emailing info@salemtheatre.com. The STC Box Office accepts cash or check only. Online ticketing ends 24 hours in advance of each performance.
