The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Tuesday and Wednesday:
Tuesday, July 10:
3:53 a.m. Police responded to a domestic dispute on High Street. After an investigation, police will seek a warrant for Noel Rentas-Vazquez for unarmed robbery, intimidation of a witness and domestic assault and battery.
11:13 a.m. Police responded to a Camp Naumkeag for a report of a suspicious male in a vehicle. Camp counselors reported that a balding white male, who looked to be in his 50s and about six feet tall, drove by the camp several times and was seen standing by a fence looking into the playground. When asked if he needed assistance, the man stated he was looking for his niece. He was directed to the administration building by counselors but instead got into a silver sedan - possibly Toyota - and drove away, but drove by several more times.
4:05 p.m. Police responded to a fight at the High Street playground.
7:42 p.m. A resident at 201 Washington Street reports having anonymous "gifts" left outside of his apartment door, such as a porcelain light switch plate, and pillows. Though not threatening in nature, he finds this practice harassing and wanted it documented.
11:11 p.m. Police took a report of a man who was hit with a plastic bottle while waiting for the bus at Lafayette and Laurel Street.
Wednesday, July 11:
9:00 a.m. Police responded to a domestic dispute at 6 Gallows Hill Road.
9:23 a.m. A man reports that the flowers he planted at his grandmother's grave site have been dug up for the fourth time in recent months.
11:44 a.m. Police responded to the MBTA parking lot at 242 Bridge Street to find a highly intoxicated man sleeping at the bottom of the stairs; taken into protective custody.
2:47 p.m. Police responded to a report of breaking and entering into a car at 50 Traders Way.
4:34 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight at 23 Aborn Street.
William Doucette, of 2 Warner Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
John Mauro Jr., of 36 Franklin Street in Peabody, was arrested for assault and battery and indecent assault and battery person 14 and over.
Geovanni Rodriguez, of 19 Leavitt Street, was arrested on four warrants.
Donald Chittick, of 6 Gallows Hill Road, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
Ruben Lithgow, of 271 Fenno Street in Revere, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, driving with an open container of alcohol, failing to stop for police, and a one-way street violation.
