Salem police log, July 18-19

The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Wednesday and Thursday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Wednesday, July 18:

9:14 p.m. Police responded to a fight at the Moose Lodge, 50 Grove Street.

11:24 p.m. Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 12 Palmer Street, resulting in arrest.

Thursday, July 19:

1:32 a.m. Police responded to a disturbance at Mack Park, 44 Tremont Street. Luis Martinez was placed into protective custody.

2:03 a.m. Police responded to a report of a drunk male walking in and out of yards on Bridge and Barton Streets. Edward Amor was placed into protective custody.

7:36 a.m. Police responded to a hit and run on Norman Street at Washington Street.

8:16 a.m. Two wallets were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Fillmore Road.

10:25 a.m. Police responded to a fight between two individuals on 117 Lafayette Street. Each claimed the other started it, and neither wanted to pursue the matter.

11:23 a.m. A bicyclist was hit by a car door at 96 Bridge Street.

1:58 p.m. A female party reported that she placed an ad on Craigslist trying to sell her car. A party from New York sent a check to purchase the car, but the account the check was written for was closed. Reporting party still in possession of her motor vehicle.

4:14 p.m. Police responded to the South Harbor Garage for a report of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.

Arrests:

Luis Rodriguez, of 55 Aborn Street in Peabody, was arrested for breaking and entering, larceny of property $250 or less, and disturbing the peace.

Brianna Lewis, of 12 Palmer Street, was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

William Penta, of 89 Flint Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
