The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Sunday, August 12:
4:05 p.m. A man reported approximately $1,800 worth of camera equipment stolen from his car sometime after 9 p.m. on August 5 while it was parked on Orne Street. No damage was done to the vehicle upon entry.
4:09 p.m. Police took a walk-in report of a bicycle stolen from a backyard on Boston Street.
5:42 p.m. Police responded to the Wendy's on Lafayette Street for a reported problem with a customer. A female party stated that the Wendy's would not serve her, and this has been an ongoing issue since July. The manager stated that the woman was inside the store asking other customers for money, and became agitated and began name-calling when approached by an employee. A no trespass order was served in hand.
8:45 p.m. Police responded to the Hawthorne Hotel on a report of an undesirable party. Hotel management stated that a man has been coming into the hotel every other day in an intoxicated state. He was served a no trespass order and left without incident.
Monday, August 13:
9:51 a.m. Police found and removed a hypodermic needle from 242 Bridge Street.
10:49 a.m. After a traffic stop on Jefferson Avenue, Ezequiel Dominguez will be summonsed to court for operating with a suspended license and failure to stop for a pedestrian in sidewalk.
4:43 p.m. Police responded to a past break-in of a motor vehicle at East India Square.
Mark A. Pustorino, of 10 Barrett Road, Lynn, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and defective equipment.
Charles Wellington Jr., of 23 Bennet Street, Beverly, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
Domingo Antonio Diaz, of 760 Morton Street, Mattapan, was arrested for OUI (second offense), marked lanes violation, and operating negligently to endanger.
Candace Beth Freedman, of 48 Weatherly Drive, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
