Salem police log, July 31-Aug. 1
The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Tuesday and Wednesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Tuesday, July 31:
4:24 p.m. Police took a report of an assault in the third floor hallway of 116 Lafayette Street.
5:04 p.m. Police responded to an oven fire at 7 Harris Street.
7:06 p.m. Police responded to the Palmers Cove Yacht Club parking lot on a report that two motor vehicles were broken into. On arrival, two vehicles were observed with the drivers' side windows smashed out. One vehicle was missing a GPS unit, but it is unknown what was missing from the other vehicle. No suspects or witnesses.
8:58 p.m. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in front of 8 Tremont Street.
Wednesday, August 1:
2:14 a.m. Police responded to 40 Ward Street where a woman stated that her ex-boyfriend entered her apartment through an unlocked window as she was sleeping. A warrant will be sought for Patrick Woods for breaking and entering in the nighttime and violation of a 209A restraining order.
10:03 a.m. Police removed hypodermic needles from the area of 135 Lafayette Street.
2:08 a.m. Police responded to a report of a naked man in the road on Essex Street.
4:17 p.m. Police took a report of a past incident of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle at 131 Derby Street.
Arrests:
Nancy Stuart, of 20 South Street in Lynn, was arrested for trespassing.
Archie Allen Jr., of 251 Meridian Street in Boston, was arrested for possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.
William Damon III, homeless, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
Helen Herrera, of 54 Perkins Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant, plus disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
