Seventh Annual Swim and Fin Race for Salem Sound

Saturday, August 18, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Forest River Park.

Salem Sound Coastwatch, a local environmental organization, hosts the New England Open Water Championships at it's annual fundraising open water swim. There will be races for all ages and levels - 500 meters, one mile and 5K. The one-mile and 5K are the championship races for USA Swimming and USA Masters Swimming, the national bodies governing competitive swimming. All Shook Up at the North Shore Music Theatre

August 14 - 26 at North Shore Music Theatre.

All Shook Up is the tale of a guitar player who shows up in a conservative town and turns it upside down. Featuring the music of Elvis Presley and starring Joyce DeWitt of Three's Company, it was written by Joe DiPietro and inspired by one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies. All in the Timing at Salem Theatre Company

All in the Timing is a critically acclaimed, award-winning collection of comedies that combines wit, intellect and satire in a barrage of clever wordplay. Free Summer Concert Series

Sunday, July 29, from 3 - 6 p.m. at Peabody Street Park.

Every Sunday from June to October Mamadou Diop and the city of Salem host free concerts at Peabody Street Park. This Sunday's show features the Salem-based duo of Glenn French and Paul Duffy known as The Holdouts.
