Salem police log, Oct. 28-29

The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Sunday, Oct. 28

5:30 p.m. Police followed up on a breaking and entering to a vehicle on Highland Avenue.

7:56 p.m. Police responded to a report of a drunk individual on Highland Avenue. A male party was evaluated at North Shore Medical Center and found to be intoxicated. He was medically cleared from the hospital, and having no one else to care for him, was placed into protective custody.

Monday, Oct. 29

9:06 a.m. Police responded to a report of glass falling from the apartments above a store on Washington Street.

12:02 p.m. Police took a report of past larceny. A male party reported that on Friday night he left the CVS on the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall with a prescription, and while he was walking someone unknown to him came up from behind, knocked him to the ground and took the bag with the prescription. The victim has cuts and bruises on his head and hands. There are no suspects and the victim could not tell police why he did not report the incident on Friday.

12:33 p.m. Police responded to an oven fire on Loring Avenue. Clear, minor damage, fire department unplugged the electric stove.

2:00 p.m. Police responded to a report of three parties possibly under the influence in a motor vehicle on Winter Island Road. Clear, searched area, gone on arrival.

Arrests:

Jenna Dorothy Starratt, of 13A Fay Avenue, Peabody, will be charged with domestic assault and battery, breaking and entering, and two counts of malicious destruction of property over $250.
