Salem police log, Sept. 30 - Oct. 1

The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Sunday, Sept. 30

4:53 p.m. Police responded to a report of damage to a bench at Leslie's Retreat Park. Upon arrival police found one of the four benches gone, and 15 rails on the gazebo missing. There were two large metal parts to the bench found in the grass, but no signs of any wood to the bench or gazebo.

6:03 p.m. Police disposed of a hypodermic needle found on Bridge Street.

7:50 p.m. Police responded to a report of a drunk individual behind Maria's Sweet Something on Front Street. One male party taken into protective custody.

10:46 p.m. Police responded to a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle on Pingree Street. The back window of a Toyota 4Runner was smashed.

Monday, Oct. 1

8:36 a.m. Police responded to a report of larceny. A woman reported that at approximately 3 p.m. on September 27 she was at Lafayette Park and was assaulted by a party known to her, who she refused to identify. She claimed she left to avoid any further altercation. About 10 minutes later, she realized she left her bags on a park bench, and when she returned to get them she noticed her medications were gone. She reported 100 Neurontin, 45 Hydroxadine and 45 Clonadine pills missing.

10:37 a.m. Police responded to a report of an attempted burglary on Bridge Street. A woman stated that her side door was kicked in over the weekend. She was gone all weekend. Her son was checking on the property and noticed the damage on Sunday morning. He boarded up the door so no one could gain entry. They went through the house and found nothing missing.

Arrests:

Tyrone L. Ellison, of 1000 Loring Avenue, will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Colleen Mae Keenan, of 286 Washington Street, will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Eugene Joseph Pothier, of 5 Arrowhead Trail, Ipswich, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.

Christopher Thomas II, of 179 Boston Street, will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Jesse A. Cunha, of 23 Mertel Street, Stoneham, will be charged with illegal possession of a Class B substance, illegal possession of a Class C substance, and two counts of illegal possession of a Class E substance.

Shariany Maria Soto, of 38 Salem Street, will be charged with minor in possession of alcohol and open container in a motor vehicle.

Luke Scott Thibodeau, of 8 Stearns Street, Swampscott, was arrested on the basis of two warrants.

Tina Marie White, of 116 Lafayette Street, will be charged with aggravated assault and battery.
